Plasma TV

on January 16, 2012

There are several kinds of television players in the market and one of these is called the Plasma TV. Plasma TVs have a plasma display panel (PDP), a flat panel display, which utilizes small cells with electrically charged ionized gases.

Plasma displays are very bright, with 1,000 lux or higher and show a wide range of colours. These can be produced in large sizes of up to 150 inches (3.8 m) diagonally. Plasma TVs use the same amount of power per square meter as an LCD television and reportedly consumes only half of the power of older plasma TV models in spite of giving the same overall brightness for a specific plasma display size. The average lifespan of a plasma display is estimated at 100,000 hours or roughly 27 years at 10 hours per day.

Plasma display TV screens are usually made of glass and this causes glare in the viewing area so now, companies that produce plasma TVs coat their screens with an anti-glare filter material.  Unfortunately, plasma panels cannot be manufactured in screen sizes smaller than 32 inches, although some companies have tried and even fewer have successfully manufactured 32 inch plasma HDTVs.

Companies involved in the sales and marketing of Plasma Television sets should make sure that their websites are parked on web hosts that can, not only reliably broadcast the website over the internet, but also support the technological requirements of the site (because such websites are usually laden with high resolution images).

To find out the reliability of a host provider, it would be wise to check out webhosting reviews. Host reviews, such as Blue Host Review, are independently run sites that provide information on the capabilities of web hosts. They are online resources and can easily be accessed by anyone and at any time.
